---♫---
Two years lost
beneath the gum tree shade,
tall timbers creak
with plans we laid.
Forging flames
through the rough we grin
We wore the bush
like a second skin.
Police dogs howled
on an evening breeze
We vanished quick
through distant trees
Ned said,
"Boys, tonight we stand
We'll make our mark
on the Southern Land!"
[Chorus]
Bullets fly
Through the night they cry,
armour shining
"We'll never die!"
Bushrangers
Hear our call,
rising strong as the heavens fall.
-----
We hear the march of troopers' boots,
pistols crack,
a long barrel shoots.
A hundred rounds
no soul to spare,
the bush our battleground
for those who dare.
Moonlight touched
the ghost gum’s crown
A shot of whisky,
a man goes down.
Kelly roared
"We’ll never kneel,
this armour’s more
than just cold steel!"
Smoke and flames
on the morning mist.
On the iron mask
an angel kiss'd
[Chorus x2]
Bullets fly
Through the night they cry
Armour shining
"We'll never die!"
Bushrangers
Hear our call,
rising strong as the heavens fall.
Bullets fly!
